About joyce pryde
Graduated from university in 2007 and since then i have been painting in my studio at home. I have continued with the theme of memories using ones from my childhood in scotland. I hope to convey to the viewer a sense of place. i would appreciate feedback from others who have anything constructive to offer. All work is open to offers.
my work is mainly abstract with occasional figurative pieces.
i enjoy experimentation in all mediums and take great pleasure in creating my work. as an artist i need to make work when i have a theme or idea maybe from the landscape or an abstract thought which generates a new perspective. these ideas can be fleeting but most often it is returned to again and again.
oct 2008 I have been given the opportunity to try out a new medium this is encaustic wax painting, i have found this to be an area in which i feel very inspired. From this i am now being encouraged towards new ideas which i intend to recreate on canvas.
